Maya Mehrotra, owner of "Fashion and the City," has a dark past and troubled childhood due to her abusive father, Ashwin. Arjun Sharma, a photographer, falls in love with Maya and proposes her in Mauritius. They get married, but Maya fakes a miscarriage and blames Arjun for the murder. Samay, Maya's obsessive lover, blackmails her and abducts her. Maya fakes death to unite Arjun and Samay, but Arjun is convicted of her murder. Maya kills Samay and abducts Saanjh, but Arjun and Saanjh marry, much to Maya's dismay.
